We celebrated this adorable girl’s sitter milestone with plenty of family snuggles and playful moments among the blooms! If you’re wondering what exactly a “sitter session” is — it’s that sweet stage between newborn and first birthday when babies begin to sit up on their own, usually around 6 to 8 months old. In our experience, most little ones at this stage are really starting to show off their budding personalities and often feel more comfortable in front of the camera. These sessions tend to be full of smiles, giggles, and cuddly moments, making them a beautiful milestone we always encourage families to document.

You might be wondering: why capture this stage instead of just waiting for the big one-year celebration? The sitter milestone is a lovely chance to freeze those sweet in-between moments — tummy time, lying on a blanket, discovering their toes, and just taking in the world around them. These calm, tender moments can be harder to catch at a one-year session when most babies are busy exploring and rarely staying still!
